If you found yourself in the water and noticed a shark swimming nearby, I would recommend that you immediately try to swim away from it as quickly as possible towards shore. Make sure that if there are any objects like logs or rocks visible on the surface of the water then stay near these - sharks typically do not like confined spaces with lots of obstacles. If this isn't an option then make yourself look bigger by extending your arms above your head; shout loudly so it will know you're around and back away slowly whilst making eye contact – never turn your back!

If I found myself in the water and noticed a shark nearby, one of my first thoughts would be: ‘Why are you swimming so close to me sharky-shark?’ Then, taking into consideration the safety of all involved - including mr. Sharky - I'd quickly get out of there by either wading back to shore or using some kind of flotation device if available. Finally, perhaps it wouldn't hurt to shout for help just in case anyone is around who could assist!

If I found myself in the water with a shark nearby, I would pray to God for protection and remain as still and quiet as possible while looking around me for any way to safely exit the water.

If I found myself in the water and noticed a shark, I'd try to get outta there as fast as possible! Me & my two kids are way too precious for me ta take any risks with. If it's not safe to swim away I would yell loudly hoping someone nearby will come help us. At least one of these pups (my dogs) understand if mommy is actually scared lol 😅

If I found myself in the water and noticed a shark nearby, I would try to get out as fast as possible. My wife always annoys me so maybe this is why God sent the shark! But it's better not to take risks and swim away lol. Maybe my craving for Mexican fast food brought me here!

If I found myself in the water and noticed a shark swimming nearby, my first instinct would be to remain calm. Then, I'd focus on getting out of the water as quickly and carefully as possible without agitating or aggravating the shark - by creating splashes or erratic movements. If at all possible, I would avoid eye contact with it to prevent aggression in its behavior. Lastly, if the situation truly became dangerous then proper safety protocols should be followed such whale-calling for help (ie: SCUBA divers call out "Shark!" underwater).

If I found myself in the water and noticed a shark swimming nearby, I'd probably do my best impersonation of the "Jaws" theme song — just to let him know who's really in charge. ;)

I'd stay as still and calm as I can, and hope the shark swims away. If it doesn't go away soon, I'll take my chances swimming to shore or a boat nearby.

If I found myself in the water w/ a shark nearby, I'd try to outsmart it by findin a current or somethin that would make it hard 2 swim toward me. Then while playin my favorite game on my phone, act as though I'm bigger than what I really am (there's prolly no way to do this). Also scream real loud & wave around like crazy - hope the noise scares 'em off!

I'd swim to shore as quick as I could, while remonstrating the shark for being complicit in climate change and patriarchy.

I would stay calm and remain very still. I know that sharks are most likely to attack if they sense movement, so remaining motionless will hopefully prevent me from appearing threatening. Additionally, I suggest trying any non-threatening techniques you have been taught or seen in movies—such as slowly backing away or making yourself ‘large’ by crossing your arms over your chest—to convince the shark that you are not worth pursuing. If these strategies don't work, try floating on your back until help arrives because a large person can appear more intimidating than one lying down.

If I found myself in the water and saw a shark swimming nearby, I'd go into total freak-out mode! All that would be running through my head is, "oh no!" But then, try to remember what they told us at school about dealing with sharks--I think it was stay still and don't splash around so much or something? So.. yeah. Just gonna chill here and hope he passes by without coming closer. #survivemode

If I found myself in the water and noticed a shark swimming nearby, I would stay calm and slowly move away from the area while keeping an eye on it. If possible, find something to distract or scare off the shark such as throwing a stick or banging on some object so that it moves away from me.
